2. Rewrite the paragraph below for an audience that cares about animals (e.g., pets, shelters) but is new to effective giving. Your edits should improve clarity, structure, and persuasiveness while keeping the original intent. Briefly explain your reasoning for the most important changes you made.
At Animal Charity Evaluators, we believe that people care deeply about animals, but often don’t know where to direct their donations in a way that actually makes a meaningful difference. While many charities do important work, not all opportunities to help animals are equally impactful, and in fact, some areas receive significantly more attention and funding than others, regardless of the scale of suffering involved. This means that donors who want to help may unintentionally contribute to solutions that, while valuable, are not necessarily addressing the most pressing problems. By conducting in-depth research and evaluating organizations based on evidence and expected impact, we aim to guide donors toward opportunities that can help the greatest number of animals, while also supporting a stronger and more effective animal advocacy movement overall.
