As many of you know, we’ll be rebranding as Animal Charity Evaluators before the end of the year. Our new site featuring additional content will launch on December 27. We are writing to ask for your support to continue finding and promoting the best ways to help animals. To maintain operations through 2014 with our current budget, we need to raise about $60,000.
If we could secure enough money to expand, our next priority would be to hire an additional researcher. We have decided to focus the coming year on research/analysis and refining our recommendations. Providing a solid foundation for our recommendations will empower activists and organizations to confidently support effective animal advocacy. Some of the progress we’ve made to date:
- We conducted two impactful studies in fall 2013, and we look forward to sharing the results of our leafleting study in January and our humane education study in March.
- We recently hired a full-time Research Manager, and several outstanding interns and volunteers have joined our team.
- We have composed a list of prospective goals and planned research that will be featured on our new site, along with new solid criteria for evaluating organizations and interventions.
We’re happy for people to wait and check out our new site (launching Dec. 27) before giving. Any donation made in the United States by December 31st will qualify as a tax-deduction in 2013, and we have tax-deductible options in other countries as well. Thank you in advance for your support. It is only through a collective effort that we can promote effective interventions and charities to activists and donors around the world.
