Many people know ACE because of our charity evaluations. That’s our most front-facing product, and we offer detailed reviews on each recommended charity along with easy ways for donors to support their work. We place great value in our charity recommendations, not just because we are able to direct additional funding to their high quality programs, but because providing details on their work can help other organizations learn valuable techniques and best practices to help animals. We hope that our reviews are providing lessons to advocates everywhere.
ACE is not as well known for our advice sections, but we offer great resources on our site as well. From pages on career and volunteer advice to longer initiatives like our survey guidelines project, we are working to build resources for all advocates to use. We have several more projects in the works for this purpose, but in the meantime we are excited to debut our advocacy advice month.
Throughout November, we will double our blog post production and exclusively focus on topics that can help all advocacy groups improve the quality of their work. You can look forward to posts about saving money through donated and low-cost resources, how to improve programs without deep evaluations, the value of analytics testing, how to acquire grants from Google, an interview with a development Director, and a collection of resources. We hope you find the coming month useful in your own advocacy efforts.

I am interested in having the highest impact for my charitable donations. I give 99% to animal protection organizations, and 1% to PBS.
I also have a trust which designates charities as recipients of 100% of my assets.
Charity ratings are very important to me.
