# Animal Charity Evaluators > Animal Charity Evaluators (ACE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses evidence and reason to find the most effective ways to help animals. ACE evaluates animal charities, publishes a list of Recommended Charities, awards grants through its Recommended Charity Fund and Movement Grants programs, and produces research to guide donors toward interventions that reduce the most animal suffering. ACE focuses on the animals who suffer in the greatest numbers and are most neglected — primarily farmed animals and wild animals. Since 2014 it estimates it has influenced over $81 million toward highly effective charities and projects.
