Strategic Plans and Prospective Goals
As strategy is particularly important to the success of any organization, we spend considerable time internally discussing our plans for the future. Last month we updated our strategic plan from 2014 and replaced it with our three-year plan for 2015-2017. Our new plan features updated sections on our philosophy and our objectives, as well as specific sections for each of our main goals:
- Continue to produce and disseminate quality research and recommendations.
- Increase brand awareness and use of our recommendations through community outreach.
- Ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Increase revenue to allow for growth.
Now that we’ve established more foundation and credibility as an organization, we are able to structure our plans in a way that will allow for efficient growth, which will ultimately lead to having a bigger impact with our work. We intend to continue improving the quality of our recommendations, but we will also spend more time on promoting our findings.
We also updated our prospective goals, which now highlight our goals for 2015. We previously published a review of our prospective goals from 2014, and are happy to state that we achieved almost every goal in varying degrees. This new list for 2015 is even bigger than our last one, but we believe we’ll be able to make progress in each area of the course of the year.
Finally, to help monitor our progress, we have created a gantt chart that features a detailed timeline for accomplishing all of our goals.
How do you feel about our strategy? Let us know in the comments.
